Show Me Days of Wonder!

The time has come to say goodbye to 90 SK graduates.  Some say it's foolish to have a ceremony for children at this age but I disagree. We only have to pause for a brief moment to marvel at the accomplishments of these extraordinary children who have spent five years of their lives in our schools.
They learned to walk, talk, make friendships, share, empathize, live in a community of learners, communicate, problem solve, read, and write. They are master artists, architects, engineers, philanthropists, activists, actors and most of all they are citizens of the world.
They are our children and we are proud to have given them the wings to fly.
Long after we fade from their memories they can turn to the portfolios of their days spend at Reggio Kids and reflect on the days of wonder.

Monsters

They roar, stomp, and cause havoc. Monsters scare us, entertain us. They hide under our beds, inside the closets. They eat our favorite foods, mess up mommy's kitchen, eat socks, break our toys, and sometimes they are our best friends.
Monsters are a constant source of discussion in the classroom. Last night someone had one over for dinner!
For the last few months this presented as a fantastic literacy project!

When Community Meets the School-The Best Day Ever!

Lexi presents Stateview Construction team a personalized thank you for their  support!
Lexi's own experience at Sick Kids Hospital is a story of true inspiration!

There are many organizations that give generously to children's charities and hospitals. I'm certain it isn't often that they get to meet the extraordinary children who benefit from the money they donate and so Reggio Kids decided to give back to one of these amazing companies, Stateview Construction for their generous gift to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

A New Outdoor Experience

Finding outdoor equipment that sits outside the box can be challenging so you can imagine how excited we were when we stumbled across this new item by Community Playthings.
The children wasted no time in experimenting with various structures.
Please observe how the teacher's mindful attention to facial expressions gave us a clear indication of how the children felt.
