Ordinal Number

These sluggish little creatures provided this group of young boys with a perfect opportunity to learn about ordinal numbers.

Whose snail would cross the finish line first? The boys were asked to make a predication. The snails were compared and although each boy felt his snail would be first, they determined that the largest snail would be the victor.

The largest snail did win. The boys were happy that their predication was accurate.

Was second and third place as rewarding for the participants?

Absolutely!

The victor was congratulated and the snails were returned to their cozy garden bed!
