Joy
When we watch children move through their daily experiences what are we looking for?
We look for milestones, targets, progression, scaffolding, the list is long and sometimes exhausting.
But what if we shift our attention for a moment and look for the joy that each experience brings them.
Without joy there is nothing.
The child will not be interested and all that we are looking for will not come to fruition. So then to this point, when we invite children to an experience let our first question be will this bring them joy?
