The Group of Seven

The Group of Seven was comprised of  Canadian landscape artists dating back to the 1920's. They were best known for their abilities to capture the rawness of nature most often associated with Canada.

  1. According to Plato, all artistic creation is a form of imitation: that which really exists (in the "world of ideas") is a type created by God . An artist, by skillfully selecting and presenting his material, may purposefully seek to "imitate" the action of life. This is what I copied from one person's blog.
